The New Black Festival, a Celebration of Music, Literature & Culture. 

This festival brings people together from all walks of life to enjoy the creativity and innovation of the Black community. 

It's a chance for everyone to embrace diversity and toast the achievements of Black culture. 

Organized by BMG, the event is scheduled for April 6 at the Theater des Westens in Berlin ( Kantstraße 12, 10623 Berlin), featuring an exciting lineup of performances and discussions and workshops:

Literature: Featuring a reading by acclaimed author Melanie Raabe. 

Prof. Dr. Natasha A. Kelly Will deliver the opening keynote.

Panel discussion: "Black Leadership in Germany's Cultural Institutions",
with esteemed guests such as Yolanda Kaddu-Mulindwa (Galerieleitung Neukölln), Dr. Yvette Mutumba (Contemporary And), Julia Wissert (Schauspiel Dortmund), Keith Bernard Stonum (Staatsoper Stuttgart/Junge Oper im Nord) and Dr. Dr. Daniele G. Daude (Dramaturgy & Academia). 

Fashion Panel: "Black Creativity in Fashion: How Can We Empower Black-Owned Brands?" with Stella Jean (founder of Stella Jean), Janek Bonasewicz (The Tracksuit Club), Philip Appah (Black Aspiring Creators), Fatima Njoya (fashion journalist) and Helene Mathelemuse (Zalando). Co-curated by ADAN Impact, with the support of Zalando. 

Celebratory panel discussion: On the first anniversary of the project for cohesion and against discrimination "People of Deutschland" with Thelma BuabengMilka Loff FernandesJalil and Simon Usifo.

The festival will be moderated by Anna Dushime, providing a guiding voice for the diverse array of talent and perspectives.

Join us on this transformative journey towards embracing and amplifying the voices and contributions of the Black communities in Germany.
