Gentle protestor and challenger of time and space, the Welsh artist Rhys Himsworth captures our fast-moving world and ever-changing environments and turns them into romantic artworks in which time stands still. He will present his innovative approach at his upcoming solo exhibition Hereafter at the BBA Gallery in Berlin. In the form of a peaceful protest against mass production and the circuitous journey of global trade, Himsworth has developed a circular artistic approach of giving technical waste an afterlife. Himsworth has sourced and repurposed redundant electronics for over a decade now - long before their rise in mainstream curiosity. Tracking them back to their land of origin, he uses his self-developed UV inkjet printer to bring his artworks to life, his unique visual language residing between paint, digital and print.
