Psychberg Affairs is proud to present this 2 great artists that share a similiar psych/y musical background with two different outcomes on their solo careers. 

Dreamweapon < ex 10 000 Russos >

Hailing from Porto, Portugal, Dreamweapon is a Psychedelic Voodoo Industrial Machine, the brain child of 10000 Russos former bass player André Couto. Like the forefathers who inspired their name (Angus MacLise, Tony Conrad, Spacemen 3), their music is minimalist, droney, headswirling psychedelia of an hallucinatory nature.

Following 2013 self released EP; 2015 LP released on Lovers and Lollypops (PT); 2018 SOL on Fuzz Club (UK); an European tour in 2018, and a constant presence in festivals since 2015, Dreamweapon have self-released one single and four albums during 2020 confinement, Calandriae, Post-Psych Monologues, Maelstrom X, Rites of Lunacy and Quíron. In February 2021, Rites of Lunacy is re-released on Little Cloud Records (USA) / Cardinal Fuzz (UK).
After the first unexpected post confinement show in Pescara, Italy, in August, Dreamweapon followed up in November with a six date minitour in France and Belgium.

VAN ELST < Desert Mountain Tribe - drummer >

Last opening for Bauhaus with his previous band Desert Mountain Tribe, VAN ELST has learned a thing or two from the legends about writing emotional ethereal songs. His music absorbs the listener into an already authentic sonic landscape, continuing his musical mix of melancholic synths lines, heavy electronic and atmospheric dreamy vocal melodies.

Dutch Producer, songwriter and drummer VAN ELST has already carved out a corner of the music-sphere all of his own, with journalists comparing his unsetting brand of electronica to bands as diverse as Joy Division and Crystal Castles. 

On a journey to shine a light on the unspoken sides of mental health, VAN ELST hopes his music will create a more awareness and understanding of the struggles experienced by many : " Listening to songs that relate to the situation I´m in helps me to process my feelings. With my music I hope to provide a feeling of hope and a similar healing experience for the listener."
Influences include Moderat, Tycho & Oscar and the Wolf.
