A dark drama in the suburbs of Casablanca. Hassan (Abdellatif Masstouri) and Issam (Ayoub Elaid), father and son, earn their daily living by carrying out small jobs for the local mafia. One evening they are commissioned with an arduous kidnapping mission that will turn their life on its head. The night is long, ahead of them a horrifying adventure that plunges them into a ghastly world of violence, where death lurks at every corner. A stunning thriller that offers an uncompromising portrait of contemporary Moroccan society from the perspective of its urban poor, afflicted with precarity and constantly pushed to the margins of crime. Karim Lazraq's debut feature won the Prix du Jury at the 2023 Cannes Film festival as part of the Un Certain Regard competition.
