Tumbleweed: DEHORS EST BLANC | CircusDanceFestival 2022

Das sagt der/die Veranstalter:in:

„Dehors est blanc" zeigt den Menschen als Ansammlung von Kräften in ständigem (Un-)Gleichgewicht. Inspiriert von dem atmosphärischen und optischen Phänomen namens „Whiteout", das bei extremen Wetterbedingungen auftritt, greifen Tumbleweed jenen Zustand auf, in dem Horizont und Umgebung ununterscheidbar werden und jedweder Sinn des Körpers für Tiefe und Orientierung verloren geht.
Dafür hat die Brüsseler Kompanie eine technische Anordnung entwickelt, die den Körper in ein fragiles, aber vorübergehendes Gleichgewicht versetzt, in  dem die Tänzerin schwebend eine radikale und mikroskopische Bewegungspartitur entfaltet.
Die Kompanie zeigt als work-in-progress einen Solo-Ausschnitt  ihrer gerade entstehenden Arbeit.

"Dehors est blanc" shows the human being as a collection of forces in constant (im)balance. Inspired by an atmospheric and optical phenomenon called "whiteout", which occurs during extreme weather conditions, the company Tumbleweed takes up that state in which the horizon and surroundings are indistinguishable - any sense of depth and direction in the body is lost.
For this purpose, Tumbleweed has developed a technical arrangement that puts the body in a fragile and temporary balance. In this arrangement, the dancer unfolds a radical and microscopic movement score while floating. The company shows a solo excerpt of “work-in-progress” from their current creation.
