POSITIONS Berlin Art Fair 2020 International art fair for modern and contemporary art We are pleased to announce that more than 100 international galleries will present their most important positions in contemporary and modern art at this year's POSITIONS Berlin Art Fair and paper positions.berlin from September 10 - 13, at Berlin-Tempelhof Airport. In addition, photo basel and the second edition of FASHION POSITIONS will take place simultaneously as special guests. Special hygiene and safety measures will certainly still be required in September. As the most obvious measure, we will be using a further hangar this year in order to comply with the necessary distance rules. We are in close contact with government officials and are planning for various scenarios to best protect the health and security of all parties involved, exhibitors, visitors, and members of staff. In addition, we develop digital formats that we would like to integrate into the classic fair schedule in order to increase and guarantee our international scope. In addition, the annual special exhibition Academy POSITIONS by Berlin Hyp will take place again, giving young, emerging students and graduates of German art schools an opportunity to present their work to a broad art-interested public at an international art fair and as part of Berlin Art Week for the first time. The aim is to provide the artists with important contacts to gallery owners, curators and collectors, to facilitate the transition to artistic independence and to gain initial experience on the art market. POSITIONS Berlin is partner of Berlin Art Week, which offers selected exhibition openings held by Berlin’s major museums and institutions, such as KW Institute of Contemporary Art, Berlinische Galerie, Gropius Bau, Hamburger Bahnhof and Berlin´s numerous private museum.
