Der erste Kiezsalon nach Corona, mit zwei Premieren zweier Ausnahmemusiker! Der eine venezolanischer Electronica-Pionier, der 1984 sein wegweisendes Album veröffentlichte, welches an Kraftwerk erinnert, und der andere Synthesizer-Hersteller, dessen nervöse Synthie-Pop und Art-Rock-Musik eine Hommage an Depeche Mode ist. After the lockdown, we cordially invite you to the first Kiezsalon of 2020 with the Berlin premiere of Venezuelan electronica pioneer Miguel Noya and Bristol synth builder Finlay Shakespeare. 20:00 | Miguel Noya (VE) 21:00 | Finlay Shakespeare (UK) / Editions Mego Wednesday, 29.07.2020 Greifswalder Strasse 23a in 10407 Berlin Doors 19:00 | Shows 20:00 | End 22:00 ► Venezuelan composer and live electronic music pioneer Miguel Noya attended Berklee College and MIT, where he gained degrees in Electronic Music & Digital Sound Synthesis, before embarking on a vibrant and esteemed musical career. Influenced by 70s synthesizer music, his landmark album Gran Sabana, released independently in 1984, is most reminiscent of Kraftwerk and space synth: https://youtu.be/zDEYga2gZyY ► The edgy synth pop and art-rock music of Finlay Shakespeare is an homage to the likes of Depeche Mode and the Human League, melded into Talking Heads style art-pop records. After an array of releases under the moniker Future Image - his new material adds vocals and a decidedly more pop edge.
